Do you like to spend time outdoors? There are many things you can do as a senior that you may not have even thought of. Activities help us stay active and young! You only live once!

We all tend to spend more time in the sun in the summer time. It is important to recognize the safety needs of seniors when it comes to enjoying any time outdoors. Keeping your skin safe from the harmful rays is crucial! It is also important to stay hydrated. Dehydration for seniors can be deadly, so please be prepared before heading out on any outings!

With summer comes more opportunity to enjoy local harvests. Take a trip to a local farmers market and increase your intake of the fresh fruits and veggies that summer has to offer! There are many recipes you can enjoy this summer to include the summer bounty of tasty goodness!

There are many destinations across Canada that offer a senior a trip worth planning. Canada is a vast country offering many travel hotspots for seniors from West Coast to East Coast! Perhaps you would prefer to travel the US. One of our favorite spots is Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is an ideal location for active seniors.
